Being a utilitarian breed, in our farm anglo nubian goats are selected according to 5 criterias:
- Animal health and strenght;
- Quantity and quality of the milk;
- Temper and morphology (appearance);
- Ease of milking;
- Number of kids per delivery.
The milking process is performed with high technology machines which are able to memorize the amount of milk produced by each animal.
Lactation lasts approximately 10 months (305 days) and we select animals with a production of over 900 l/lactation, being fed naturally without “protein cocktails”. Therefore our goats are qualified for bio milk production. The best result so far is 1098l/lactation in 305 days.
Average milk analysis at the farm is: 4.6% (41,4 kg/lactation) fat and 3,82% (34,38kg/lactation) protein.
Photos show results in kg of milk per one milking.
